Blueprint Tokyo is a dreamy indie duo whose intense and inspired indie rock, laden with pulsating synths and sophisticated pop textures, colours its upbeat musical neighbourhood in neon blue and a “beautiful and obsessive attention to every detail.” – Thoughts Words Actions.
Based in Oklahoma City, Kevin Dawson and Andrew Hale grew up on a diet of 80s and 90s greats, citing The Cars, Jimmy Eat World, AFI, and Marianas Trench as key influences. With backgrounds in post punk, emo and classic rock, their drive for melody and texture comes together in strong hooks, atmospheric sounds and surprisingly hopeful lyrics.
“Anthemic and loaded with feeling, the best kind of music to make you believe in a better tomorrow.” - Rock Era Magazine
Blueprint Tokyo have released EPs and singles to enthusiastic critical acclaim, touring and playing festivals across the US, as well as appearing on TV. With a varied catalogue of music, the pair are happiest exploring and experimenting, which they do with a Brian Wilson-esque panache that the listener is never quite prepared for, but which always lands on two feet.
“The kind of raw and unfiltered vulnerability that makes you walk into a new day with a purpose.” - Find No Enemy
For fans of Two Door Cinema Club, Walk the Moon, The Cure, Manchester Orchestra, Saint Motel, White Lies, Silversun Pickups, Coldplay, Cage the Elephant, and Bleachers.
