London’s Indie Dock Music Blog reviewed Dark New Days in full, calling it “compact, quietly devastating, and possessed of the kind of emotional intelligence that most bands spend entire careers trying to fake.”
On the band’s approach: “Blueprint Tokyo seem entirely uninterested in posturing. These songs mean what they say, which in the current landscape of arch detachment feels almost radical.”
Their verdict: “Six songs, no filler, no wasted breath. Blueprint Tokyo have made something that knows exactly what it is and asks only that you pay attention. In 2026, that’s more than enough.”
